Antalya Airport (AYT) is the main gateway to Turkey's Mediterranean coast, serving the city of Antalya and the resort regions of Lara, Belek, Side, Kemer and Alanya. This guide covers the airport's terminals and every option for reaching your hotel: tram, public bus, taxi and private transfer.
Antalya Airport at a glance
Antalya Airport sits about 13 km north-east of the city centre, between the city and the Lara–Kundu hotel zone. It is one of the busiest holiday airports in Europe: a major expansion completed in April 2025 added a new international terminal building and is raising annual capacity from 35 million toward more than 80 million passengers, with around 440,000 m² of terminal space.
Terminals
The airport has three passenger terminals:
- Terminal 1 — international flights.
- Terminal 2 — international flights; the rebuilt and significantly enlarged terminal opened in April 2025.
- Domestic Terminal — all domestic flights, next to Terminal 1.

Getting from the airport: your options
AntRay tram
The AntRay light-rail line connects the airport with the city centre. The airport stop is reached by a footbridge in front of the Domestic Terminal and Terminal 1, and trams run roughly from 06:00 until midnight. You can pay with an AntalyaKart travel card or a contactless bank card. The ride to İsmetpaşa — the stop closest to Kaleiçi, Antalya's old town — takes about 40 minutes. It is the cheapest way into town, but there is no tram line toward Lara, Belek or the other resort areas.
Public bus
Bus line 600 links the airport with the city centre and the main bus station (otogar), running about every 30 minutes during the day; the trip into the centre takes 45–60 minutes depending on traffic. Line 800 serves the Lara direction but runs much less frequently. Check the Antalya public transport website for current timetables and fares.
Taxi
Official taxis wait at ranks outside each arrivals hall and charge by the meter. A ride to the city centre takes 20–30 minutes. For longer trips — Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya — the metered fare grows with distance, so it is worth knowing the approximate cost for your route before getting in.
Private transfer
A pre-booked private transfer means a driver waiting in the arrivals hall with your name, a fixed price agreed in advance and a vehicle sized to your group. For resort destinations that public transport does not reach directly — Belek, Side, Kemer or Alanya — it is usually the most practical door-to-door option, especially with luggage or children.
